Nissan colors for 2017 Supercars in Australia revealed

MELBOURNE, Victoria, Australia –The new-look No. 23 Nissan Altima Supercar of Michael Caruso has broken cover ahead of the 2017 Supercars Championship.

The 2017 Supercars Championship mark's Caruso's fifth season with the Nissan Motorsport team and his third driving the No. 23 Nissan NISMO entry.

Caruso secured his first win for the team last year, taking victory at Darwin's Hidden Valley Raceway circuit and eventually finishing 10th overall in the Supercars Championship.

Caruso's No. 23 entry is one of four Nissan Altima Supercars operating under the Nissan Motorsport banner, joined by team-owners Todd and Rick Kelly as well as new signing Simona De Silvestro.

Rick Kelly's updated Sengled Racing Altima was also unveiled this week, as all four Nissan Motorsport entries head for a pre-season test at Sydney Motorsport Park this week, followed by the opening round of the 2017 Supercars Championship on the famous Adelaide street circuit between March 2 and 5.

"This is the third season that I've been driving the Nissan NISMO entry and I love the new look of my car," said Caruso. "It's clean and classic and reminds me of some of the late-80s liveries that were on the Skylines. I feel that this is going to be one of the most competitive Supercars seasons on record. The new tire regulations are going to test the teams. We could see a bunch of new winners in the opening rounds as everyone gets their head around the different compound. Nissan Motorsport is as prepared as we can be, and I can't wait to cut some laps on the new tires at Sydney Motorsport Park."
