Nissan Welcomes Tender Offer for KIRIU CORPORATION

Tokyo -- Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. issued a positive response to a tender offer made on November 22, 2001 for KIRIU CORPORATION, by Unison Capital, Inc.  Nissan welcomed the bid from Kiriu for its affiliate, as an opportunity to strengthen the competitive power of the proposed partnership in an increasingly global automotive marketplace.

"We fully support this move," said Itaru Koeda, Executive Vice President for purchasing at Nissan "The proposed partnership is clearly in line with the framework of the Nissan Revival Plan, by further strengthening business with suppliers."

Nissan owns 36.7 percent (6,946,300 shares) of the outstanding shares in KIRIU CORPORATION, which supplies brake related parts to Nissan.

As part of the Nissan Revival Plan, Nissan is restructuring its supplier network, creating an internationally competitive global supply base.
