Nissan to Exhibit Design Highlights of Past 50 Years & Future VisionExhibition to be held at Ginza galleries end of July - Aug. 15

July 21 - Tokyo, Japan -- Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., will hold an exhibition entitled  "'Passion & Imagination: Nissan Design 50th Anniversary & Future"  at its two galleries in Ginza, downtown Tokyo starting at the end of July. The exhibition will run for about two weeks and will showcase the historical achievements of Nissan's design department over the last fifty years, as well as its future design vision. Nissan's design department was established in February1954 from Nissan's car modeling division.

On display, visitors will find full-size and scale models of some of Nissan's most popular vehicles, including the Datsun sedan and Fairlady Z sports car. The Datsun sedan was built in 1955 and was the predecessor to the Datsun 210, the first Nissan model exported to the U.S. The Murano cross-over sport utility vehicle and the Armada full-size SUV, currently sold only in the U.S., Mexico and Canada, will also be exhibited. (Since this release, the Murano went on sale in Japan - on Sept. 2)

In addition, visitors will be able to view several of Nissan's concept models unveiled at global motor shows in recent years, including the C-NOTE, the TRIANT and the EVALIA, as well as miniature versions of Nissan's dealerships and motor show booths built according to Nissan's new global visual standards.

The exhibition will start on July 30 at the Nissan Headquarters Gallery and on July 31 at the Nissan Ginza Gallery and run until August 15 at both galleries. Below is a schedule of the exhibition.
