NISSAN ESTABLISHES NEW SALES COMPANY IN UKRAINE

Nissan Motor Co, Ltd

Kiev, Ukraine, 5, April - Nissan announced that it has established a new sales company in the Ukraine that will be responsible for leading Nissan's performance in the Ukrainian market.

The new company, Nissan Motor Ukraine, will strengthen the company's position in the marketplace, improve and develop the distributor's network and provide marketing, advertising, logistics and services support to its dealers in the country.

Nissan Motor Ukraine will distribute Nissan vehicles and parts across the Ukrainian dealer network, which currently comprises 9 sales outlets. The headquarters is in Kiev and will initially employ 18 people.

Fumiaki Imamura has been named Managing Director of Nissan Motor Ukraine Company. Imamura will coordinate all Nissan's activities in Ukraine. "Ukraine is a unique market and one of the high potential regions for Nissan. Nissan's introduction into this market is a decision based upon anticipated growth as the company embarks upon its new global plan, Nissan Value-Up. We will concentrate customer-focused activities through our dealers providing unique, innovative value which is a hallmark of the Nissan brand," said Imamura.

Nissan vehicles have been sold on the Ukrainian market through an authorized dealership network since 1992. Nissan Motor Ukraine will replace two independent trading companies currently distributing Nissan vehicles in Ukraine. Last year, they sold a combined total of around 2,800 Nissan vehicles.

Nissan employs 12,000 people in Europe in design, research and development, production, logistics and sales and marketing. In 2004, the company sold 543,948 vehicles in Europe.
