DEDICATED GT‑R PROTO MICROSITE LAUNCHED

TOKYO (Oct. 19, 2005) - To coincide with the unveiling of the GT‑R PROTO at the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., today launched an exclusive microsite entitled "Performance in Its Purest Form" dedicated to content about the car.

The www.gtrproto.com site, which includes photos of the car, as well as an exclusive video interview with Nissan's chief designer Shiro Nakamura, will be updated throughout the Tokyo Motor Show with new information in Japanese, English, German and French. The website and the GT‑R PROTO will go back under cover after the Tokyo Motor Show.

The GT‑R PROTO provides for the first time a clear indication of the final design direction for the production model to be released in 2007, the first all-new GT‑R in eight years. The car will be sold on a global basis, recognizing its ability to compete with the very best performance cars in the world.

The design of the GT‑R PROTO expresses pure GT‑R heritage derived from the first model PGC10 (1969) through R34 (1999) in a new and expressive form. For the first time in its history, the new GT‑R will be designed as a specific vehicle, and not derived from a sedan.
