PARIS -- The Renault-Nissan Alliance has named Christian Mardrus the new Alliance Managing Director for the Alliance CEO Office, replacing Mouna Sepehri effective June 1.

Mardrus will serve as Secretary of the Renault-Nissan Alliance Board. Managing a multicultural team in Paris, Yokohama and Amsterdam, he will oversee the continued evolution of the 12-year partnership between Renault and Nissan.

Mardrus will also spearhead strategic cooperation with Daimler and serve as a member of the Daimler-Alliance Cooperation Committee. He will report directly to Carlos Ghosn, Chairman and CEO of the Renault-Nissan Alliance.

Mardrus, 52, is the Global Logistics Managing Director for the Renault-Nissan Alliance since 2009 and serves as a member of Renault's management committee. He joined Renault in 1999 in the Sales and Marketing Division and has held a number of positions, including Chief Information Officer. Mardrus grew up near Marseille and has engineering degrees from Ecole Polytechnique and Corps Interministériel des Télécommunications in Paris.

Mardrus replaces Mouna Sepehri, who last month became Executive Vice President, Chief of Staff and General Counsel at Renault. She helped create the Renault-Nissan Alliance in 1999, and under her stewardship Alliance synergies have reached €1.5 billion per year.

Sepehri joined Renault in 1996 as Deputy General Counsel and was part of the original team that formed the Renault-Nissan Alliance in 1999. Sepehri, a French citizen who was born in Iran and attended the Paris School of Law, began her career as an international corporate attorney in Paris and New York.
