Nissan deploys Workday Human Capital Management as global HR system

TOKYO and YOKOHAMA CITY, JAPAN – With the expansion of its global business, Nissan has been deploying Workday HCM globally to help standardize its HR processes. Nissan's HR system has been unified globally through Workday HCM, allowing the company to easily access HR data around the world and strengthen its talent pool and human resource diversity – a major factor for competitiveness.

"With Workday HCM, we can take a major step forward in enhancing the strategic capability of our human resources function," said Arun Bajaj, senior vice president in charge of Global Human Resources at Nissan. "We plan to integrate HR operations globally based on Workday best practices. The new system allows us to utilize real-time, global HR data to make human capital decisions that support Nissan's growth objectives."

"In spite of the large-scale deployment, we were able to go live with Workday HCM on schedule," said Celso Guiotoko, chief information officer and corporate vice president in charge of Global Corporate IS/IT at Nissan. "With Workday HCM, we can take advantage the latest technology and flexibility provided by cloud computing."

"We are honored to help Nissan expand its global business by unifying HR globally," said Phil Wilmington, co-president, Workday. "Nissan's successful deployment proves Workday HCM can meet the unique requirements of HR systems for Japan, such as internal transfer. We look forward to helping more customers headquartered in Japan deploy a global HR system that meets their Japanese-specific requirements."
