YOKOHAMA, Japan – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced that Ashwani Gupta, Representative Executive Officer and COO, has elected to leave the company to pursue other opportunities effective June 27.
Also, Gupta will retire from the board of directors at the end of the annual general meeting of shareholders to be held on June 27, 2023.
Serving as Nissan’s COO since December 2019, he has been instrumental in the development and execution of the Nissan NEXT transformation plan which focuses on establishing the foundation of Nissan’s business towards growth.
Also, he has taken key leadership positions and been a driving force in various Alliance projects over several years resulting in many achievements.
The new executive line-up is planned to be announced on June 27.
