All-New "Expert" Midsize Commercial Van

The all-new Expert midsize commercial van has been executed in a stylish design with a highly dynamic body form that projects an image of performing work in a smart and efficient manner.

A choice of two outstanding engines is offered - the new 2.2-liter NEO Di YD22DD direct-injection diesel engine that was awarded the FY 1998 Sho-Ene Taisho (The Energy Conservation Prize)* and the 1.8-liter NEO QG18DE gasoline engine that delivers powerful driving performance. These impressive engines are combined with the smooth-shifting E-ATx automatic transmission and Nissan's new compact and lightweight Auto Control 4WD system to achieve both excellent fuel economy and superior driving performance.

Furthermore, all Expert models qualify for a reduction of the automobile acquisition tax as low fuel consumption vehicles under the revised tax code for FY 1999.

The interior provides a high-quality, comfortable working environment, thanks to its extensive roster of equipment features, in addition to its outstanding payload capacity and distinctly hospitable ambience. The exterior is characterized by a stylish design that projects a high-class, premium-quality image.

In pursuit of clean emissions friendly to the global environment, all diesel engine models comply with the exhaust emission standards of the*gLaw Concerning Special Measures for Total Emission Reduction of Nitrogen Oxides from Motor Vehicles in Specified Areas.*hAll gasoline engine models are available with a low-emission vehicle (LEV) specification that reduces emission levels to approximately one-tenth of the average values required under Japan's current exhaust emission standards.

The Expert also provides high-level safety performance. All models adopt the high-strength Zone Body construction for excellent crashworthiness and come with a driver's airbag supplemental restraint system (SRS) as standard equipment. A passenger's airbag SRS, antilock braking system (ABS) and other safety technologies are also available as optional features on all models.
