The subject employee working at the Tochigi Plant tested positive as a result of tests conducted on all the employees working at the same site in relation to the case disclosed on August 2.
The five subject employees received training at Nissan Learning Center with the three employees who were listed on the cases disclosed on August 2 and 4. The five employees tested positive as a result of tests conducted on all who had taken the same training. The remainder of those tested produced a negative result.
As the safety and health of our employees is our top priority, we have established rigorous guidelines for preventing the spread of COVID-19, and have made robust efforts to implement infection prevention measures including increased hand washing protocol, cough etiquette and daily health checks for early infection detection measures among employees.
