Dongfeng Nissan debuts N6 PHEV sedan and new Teana in China

Beijing, CHINA – Dongfeng Nissan today unveiled the exterior design and high-level specifications of the N6, its first plug-in hybrid sedan, alongside the new Teana. These two intelligent sedans were announced at an event celebrating Nissan’s operations in China. Both models are scheduled to go on sale in China by the end of this year.

Nissan President and CEO Ivan Espinosa stated, “Under our Re:Nissan plan, we are redefining what Nissan delivers today and beyond. It’s about strengthening our core, reigniting Nissan’s heartbeat, and creating products that inspire excitement and trust. It is about a sharper, more focused product strategy, a stronger brand, and a renewed commitment to our customers. Integral to this transformation is China—an essential market whose speed, technological leadership, and customer insights are setting the pace for the global auto industry.”

The N6 is the first plug-in hybrid (PHEV) sedan built on Dongfeng Nissan’s new energy technology architecture, sharing its technological lineage with the popular all-electric N7 sedan. Its PHEV system features a 1.5-liter gasoline engine paired with a 21.1 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, with more details to be announced closer to the start of sales.

Measuring 4,831 mm in length, 1,885 mm in width, and 1,491 mm in height, the N6 boasts a 2,815 mm wheelbase, combining an elegant silhouette with a spacious interior.

The exterior design features a V-Motion signature grille and expressive LED lighting at the front and rear. Sleek, organic lines give the vehicle a confident, dynamic presence. Despite its streamlined profile, the cabin offers impressive space and comfort, tailored to meet the needs of Chinese families seeking reliability, intelligence, and comfort.

New Nissan Teana

The new Teana adds updated design and advanced intelligent connectivity, while maintaining the premium comfort and sophistication it has become renowned for in China. Notably, it will be the first internal combustion engine vehicle in China equipped with Huawei’s HarmonySpace5.0 smart cockpit.

The exterior has been redesigned with sharp, elegant lines that convey a premium and sophisticated aesthetic. Inside, the Teana features the new Huawei HarmonySpace5.0 smart cockpit, complemented by a new Huawei ‘SOUND’ audio system. The inclusion of these features and more, are set to usher in a new era of comprehensive, intelligent comfort for the nameplate.
