MELBOURNE Australia – Nissan Motorsports & Customizing Co., Ltd. (NMC) has reached an important milestone in the global expansion of the NISMO brand with the official opening of the first NISMO Performance Center outside Japan, at Ferntree Gully Nissan in Melbourne, Australia.

The opening brings to life the multi-phase Australian expansion announced by NMC and Nissan Oceania in May 2026 and represents the first tangible step in bringing NISMO’s products, technical expertise, heritage activities and customer experiences closer to priority markets around the world.

Located within Ferntree Gully Nissan in Victoria, the new NISMO Performance Center Melbourne gives Australian customers direct access to NISMO’s Omori Factory expertise in Japan. It will support advanced vehicle restoration programs, provide authentic NISMO performance and heritage parts, and offer support from factory-certified NISMO Meisters — bringing specialist knowledge, craftsmanship and services closer to local owners and enthusiasts.

The initiative forms part of NISMO’s broader global growth strategy and its role as a key expression of Nissan’s performance DNA. Nissan and NMC are expanding the NISMO model line-up, market presence, heritage, restoration and parts businesses to give more customers access to the brand and its performance expertise.

As part of this strategy, NISMO is establishing Performance Centers in priority markets to connect its expertise in Japan more directly with customers and enthusiast communities around the world. The Melbourne facility is the first example of this strategy in action. It creates closer connections between NISMO’s expertise in Japan and performance and heritage communities in key markets.

Yutaka Sanada, President and CEO of Nissan Motorsports & Customizing Co., Ltd. and global head of the NISMO brand, said: “The opening of the first NISMO Performance Center outside Japan is an important milestone in our global expansion. Our focus is on bringing the brand closer to customers in the right markets, with the right products, services and experiences.”

More than 300 Nissan and NISMO enthusiasts attended the opening event, reflecting the strength of the performance and GT‑R community that made Australia a natural market for the first overseas NISMO Performance Center.

The Australian program is designed to expand local access to the wider NISMO ecosystem, including performance parts and accessories, heritage support, technical expertise, restoration and customer experiences.

Additional NISMO Performance Centers are planned in Australia from 2027, continuing the phased rollout announced in May. Further elements of NISMO’s international Performance Center expansion will be announced in due course.
