YOKOHAMA, Japan – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced production, sales and export figures for December 2021 and calendar year 2021.
1. Production
December 2021
Global production in December declined 23.6% from a year earlier.
- Production in and outside Japan declined 48.4% and 19.4% from a year earlier, respectively.
Calendar year 2021
Global production in 2021 declined 1.2% from a year earlier.
- Production in and outside Japan declined 2.5% and 1.0% from a year earlier, respectively.
2. Sales
December 2021
Global sales in December declined 19.8% from a year earlier.
- Sales including minivehicles in Japan declined 32.6%.
- Sales of registered vehicles in Japan declined 12.8%.
- Minivehicle sales in Japan declined 60.0%.
- Sales outside Japan declined 18.6% from a year earlier.
Calendar year 2021
Global sales in 2021 increased 0.9% from a year earlier.
- Sales including minivehicles in Japan declined 3.6%.
- Sales of registered vehicles in Japan increased 3.0%.
- Minivehicle sales in Japan declined 12.3%.
- Sales outside Japan surpassed year-earlier results by 1.5%.
3. Exports from Japan
December
Exports from Japan in December declined 59.4% from a year earlier.
Calendar year 2021
Exports from Japan in 2021 surpassed year-earlier results by 0.4%.
