SÃO PAULO, Brazil – After a blockbuster year of back-to-back vehicle and technology launches capped by the Rio Olympics sponsorship, Nissan accelerates further to impress at the 2016 São Paulo Motor Show, the largest auto show in Latin America. Under the umbrella vision of Intelligent Mobility for every segment, Nissan makes several key vehicle introductions.

Nissan Highlights at the 2016 Edition of the São Paulo Motor Show:

New Nissan Frontier
The 12th generation of the Nissan Frontier premieres in Brazil. With a reputation as STRONG and INTELLIGENT, the all-new Frontier is Nissan´s best in its 80-years pick-up history. Beyond its modern, robust design, the core of Frontier is a strengthened structure with a reinforced chassis that makes it 4 times more durable, while being lighter and more efficient. The ladder chassis with a double "C" structure design, enhances rigidity and prevents damage from external forces.

A combination of technologies allow for maximum off-roading, a comfortable drive while tech features are at the service of the driver. Among them are Hill Descent Control (HDC) and Hill Start Assist (HSA). These prevent the car from rolling away when driving up or down a steep incline by automatically engaging the brakes and maintaining the vehicle; static after the brake is release, giving the driver time to apply the throttle. The model on display is the crew-cab AWD version, equipped with the all-new 2.3-liter twin-turbo diesel engine that delivers 190 hp.

Nissan Kicks SV Limited
Nissan's newest global crossover has been a success since its global debut in Brazil for its striking design, versatility and unique technology features. At the SPMS, the brand is unveiling the Kicks SV Limited version, available at dealerships by close of November. The SV version boasts Kicks -head-turning design and innovative items, such as zero gravity seats, first-in-class TFT display with 12 screens that show data on cruise control, audio system, fuel economy and Active Ride Control buttons. Other features are AC, GPS navigation integrated with the multimedia system, tilt and telescopic steering column, ISOFIX and LATCH mounting systems for child safety seats.

Nissan Kicks "2-Tone"
The launch of Kicks in 2-tone color combinations inspired Brazilian trend trackers. First available in charcoal/orange, as the concept that made it famous, and white/orange as the Olympics where it was the Official Car, Kicks now presents another color trend to watch: gray/silver. Brazilians in social media such as Facebook and Twitter have predicted what the next Kicks color trend would be. It was the brand's most commented and shared post on Nissan's official Facebook page since the Rio Games.

Nissan Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo
Nissan Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo is one of the most radical concept designs ever seen. Conceived as a videogame racecar by Nissan designers in Europe, it inspired Nissan engineers in Japan to make it a reality.  It competes in Sony PlayStation®'s highly commended Gran Turismo® (GT6™) game. The real-life model on display in Sao Paulo was first seen at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show.

Nissan March Special Edition
All the versatility of Nissan's compact model made at the Resende Industrial Complex, in Rio de Janeiro State, is shown as the Special Edition. Focused on a sporty appeal with a high-end finish, the design exercise comes with red bodywork with black roof, pillars and door mirrors with integrated turn signals. Wheels and the all-new bumpers were given a sportier appeal while the rear is now equipped with a spoiler. The styling exercise was created by the Nissan Design America – Rio (NDA-R), whose operations started in 2013 to contribute to the brand's local projects.

Nissan Versa Sportech
The Nissan Versa Sportech is another design exercise created by the NDA-R and comes with new aesthetic features to boost its sporty appeal. On the front, the exclusive bumper gives it the impression of having a lower overhang. There are new side skirts and the dark metal wheels team up with low profile tires, while the interior boasts exclusive leather-appointed seats.

Nissan GT-R 2017
This is the first time that "Godzilla" is exhibited at Nissan's Sao Paulo Show booth as a regular production model, as the Japanese supersports car is available in Brazil since September. 2017 Nissan GT-R has been updated with an exciting new look both inside and out. It received major driving performance enhancements in key areas, which include a significantly reinforced chassis and more power from its twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter 24-valve V-6 engine that delivers 572 hp, or an increase of 20 hp compared to last year's model.
